ANNLEE
OWNER/INSTRUCTOR
CARDIO DANCE, FAMILY DANCE
Annlee is the founder of Metropolis Dance. She has a background in hip-hop, jazz, and cheer. Her most memorable dance experiences were taking first place at UDA Nationals in 2002 and dancing 3 seasons on the Supersonics Dance Team. (Bring them back!) She also danced with a Seattle hip-hop crew PG. Annlee loves the benefits that dance brings physically, emotionally, and the community it brings.
Annlee is committed to providing a dance program welcome to students of all levels with an emphasis on building confidence while sharing the joy of dance!

ANNA
INSTRUCTOR
BREAKING
Anna aka "Naj" has been an active force in the Breakdancing (Bboy/Bgirl) scene for nearly 20 years. A tried and true Bgirl, Anna has traveled the world competing and judging competitions. She has won first place across the U.S. and Canada, judged with Bboy World in Hong Kong, and also placed at an international competition in Australia. Since 2002, Anna has been a core member of Fraggle Rock Crew who performs regularly and has opened for big artists such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Black Eyed Peas, and Eric B & Rakim. They also throw legendary annual Sweet Sixteen Bboy Battles. Anna's passion for the impact of dance keeps her active in school and community events that offer a positive message for kids, focusing on respect, anti-bullying, and the history of hip-hop culture. She hosts Soulful Monday and Cypher Queen, regular all-ages practice sessions for freestyle dancers. Anna has been teaching with Metropolis Dance for over 5 years and coaches our youth breaking team. Anna continues to amaze us with her talent, patience, and we are honored to have her as part of our team!

MIKAYLA
INSTRUCTOR, COMPETITION TEAM COACH
JAZZ FUNK, CHOREO
Mikayla, a Bay Area native, trained in contemporary dance for two years in high school before discovering hip hop and urban dance styles her senior year. She joined a local team which opened up many opportunities for her, such as performing in Disneyland, and competing at a national level. Mikayla has been with Metropolis Dance for three years and students adore her fun choreography and loving personality! She is currently a student at Seattle Pacific University and former president and choreographer for SPU’s urban dance crew, Ante Up. Mikayla is also head coach and choreographer for our two Metropolis Dance competition dance teams.

MADDIE
INSTRUCTOR
HIP HOP, JAZZ, MUSICAL THEATER
Maddie is a founding member of Seattle tap company Alchemy Tap Project, and a student of dance in its many forms. Having studied ballet, jazz, contemporary, and modern in addition to tap dance, Madeline is interested in the cross-disciplinary benefits of pursuing a diverse dance education. In her personal practice, and professional performance experience, Madeline accesses all facets of her dance training to inform, enhance, and explore what movement can be. Maddie holds a B.A. with the University of Washington with a double major in Dance and English, with honors.

TULIKA
INSTRUCTOR
BOLLYWOOD DANCE, CARDIO
Tulika has been a group fitness instructor since 2009. She loves sharing her passion for health and wellness by showing her classes that fitness can be fun. She has been a certified BollyX instructor for 7 years and it is her favorite dance fitness style to teach! She is so happy to be able to teach BollyX for Metropolis Dance.
